The Edinburgh Tea & Coffee Company has over 200 years experience in the tea and coffee trade and is one of Scotland's oldest tea manufacturers. The company was founded in 1812 by Andrew Melrose in Canongate. Meldrose was the first tea merchant to import tea outside London after the East India Company's monopoly ended. The company has been trading under the current name since 1990.
